  • native australian flower painting with LAUREN ROGERS

    Join Contemporary Indigenous Artist and proud Ngarabal woman Lauren Rogers to create your own Native Australian flower art with a First Nations flair! Each attendee will get to create their own 25 cm x 25 cm canvas, which they can get framed or stretched after the day. All materials needed will be provided. This intimate workshop will give you a chance to unleash your creativity, learn new skills and discover the simple joy of creating and promises to be colourful and connected to Australia's first people's culture!

  • traditional basket weaving with WAABII CHAPMAN BURGESS

    Learn traditional basket weaving techniques with Ngarrabul Elder, Waabii Chapman-Burgess. Weaving is a way of life central to Indigenous culture, and this beautiful craft has been passed down from generation to generation.

    In this fun workshop, you will learn to create your own unique piece of woven art using natural hand dyed raffia. No previous experience is necessary. Each student will also leave with their own weaving starter kit to continue their making at home.

  • wet felt hat workshop with JOANNE BARR

    Join Jo Barr from JAMB Hats and Millinery, as she guides you through the magical process of felting. You can choose to create a simple wet felted flower brooch and a cloche or small brimmed wool hat. Each participant is given a kit that includes the resources they need including superfine merino, soap, bubble wrap and resist material and the use of all other equipment needed.

  • creative painting workshop with CAROLYN MCCOSKER

    This two day workshop will focus on exploring the visual languages of shape form. colour and line to create original paintings. Techniques for referring to source material without letting it dominate a finished work will be explored.

    This workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to develop their painting skills and individual style and is open to any medium.

    Participants will be invited to consider links between their own art interests and historical and contemporary Australian and international artists work through preliminary tips and exercises in composition, colour and design, and develop an individual work from a reference point or image of their choice.
